Project coordinator for a NIH-funded, multi-institutional project that is part of a Georgia CTSA project, Translational Workforce Development (TWD). Coordinate with Emory University and Healthcare staff and faculty and UGA graduate assistants and faculty to facilitate meeting schedules, data exchange, creation of reports, and facilitate rapid prototyping.

Project coordinator for several on-going projects. Co-lab manager for the Research and Innovation in Learning (RAIL) lab. Support projects and programs by creating meeting agendas and notes, scheduling meetings, participating in data analysis and collection, recording data, researching relevant literature, providing feedback, and any additional tasks requested.

Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants, University of Florida/IFAS | Gainesville, FL

 

Coordinate the Florida Invasive Plant Education Initiative, and provide training and support on the implementation of invasive species lessons for K-12 and informal educators. Responsible for obtaining funding (180k+ annually), grant writing and reporting, organizing workshops, curriculum development and distribution, developing and overseeing projects, long and short-term planning, in-class lessons, and outreach. Representing the research center at conferences and public events, creating field identification guides and other educational products, and supervising interns and program assistants.

 

Project Assistant, Invasive Plant Education Initiative                                                          November 2011-July 2013

Assisted the Education/Training Coordinator in the implementation, creation, and distribution of invasive plant curricula and educational materials. Responsible for formatting and editing curricula, inventory management, design of outreach and educational materials, workshop logistics, project meeting agendas, and representing the program at conferences and public events.

 

Non-Profit Coordinator                                                                                                                             June 2009-July 2011

Civic Media Center and Library | Gainesville, FL

 

Created content, organized logistics for, and presented at educational events at the Center and other locations. Created partnerships with academic and community organizations. Managed volunteers and interns, and supervised their projects. Financial responsibilities included daily accounting, fundraising, maintenance of membership records, and creating annual budgets. Additional responsibilities included design and content for outreach materials such as quarterly newsletter, flyers, and informational brochures, and press outreach.

Research and archive library collections. Assisted in acquisition of collections. Reviewed, processed, and created organizational schemes for archival materials, mostly relating to Florida history. Researched and wrote finding aids to alert users to important information.
